Why
not wait for the scientific
opinion before opening half the
province to "sport" killing of grizzly bears?
Reopening
the "sport" of killing grizzly bears was NOT
part of the
90 day Campbell agenda. The promise in the election
campaign was to base any resumption of the "sport"
on a scientific review. So what's the rush? The Minister
deserves credit for approaching the International
Association for Bear Research and Management (IBA)
for candidates to be included on her scientific panel.
Why compromise their credibility by proceeding with the
kill without their advice? Also see IBA
article.
